As a carer, you may feel that some training might help you. If you are looking to enhance your skills or are new to caring and aren’t sure where to start then our training workshops and courses are worth considering.
We offer training on the following subjects:
Learn the basics in first aid with a training course run by the British Red Cross.
Whether it’s managing challenging behaviour, dealing with stress, how to increase your emotional resilience or an overview on mental health conditions and how you can best support someone, we have a variety of workshops that cover mental health.
Look out for training sessions that cover benefits, managing your finances and helping you get the most out of your money.
From time-to-time we run training workshops on legal issues that can affect your caring role such as Lasting Power of Attorney status.
We offer training on how to help someone with conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease which help you to understand more about the condition, how to manage symptoms and support that’s available to you.
