A message from MYTime Young Carers…

To you amazing young carers,

We wanted to write to you to say we hope you are keeping well and a huge well done to all of you for everything you have done to support your family over the past few months. We hope that your first few weeks at school have gone well and you are enjoying being back in a bit of routine.

The MYTIME Zoom youth group is by far the best part of our week and we’ve got 3 more amazing sessions planned for October. We’ve planned some brilliant Halloween themed activities to get you in the mood for Autumn. One of our sessions will also take place during ‘National Loneliness Week’, we will be taking part in an activity which focusses on combating loneliness and you will also get given a pair of amazing yellow socks!

For all of these sessions we can take a maximum of 12 young carers. If you would like to get involved in a session please can you or your parents email penny@mytimecharity.co.uk.

Sessions are as follows:

Movie and Chill- Halloween themed! with Penny Day and Krista Sharp – Wednesday 14 October, 5pm-6.30pm

Loneliness week with Penny Day and Krista Sharp – Wednesday 21 October, 5pm-6pm

Halloween themed creative writing with Penny Day and Krista Sharp – Wednesday 28 October, 5pm-6pm

Let us know your name, your age and which session or sessions you would like to attend. If you would like to take part in the sessions please could you also send your address so we can arrange for some treats and surprises to be dropped off to you.

We may also want to take photos during the zoom session so please could you let us know if we have your permission to take your photograph and share it on social media.

We’ll then email you back to confirm your place and let you know the zoom link to get into the session. If we end up oversubscribed for any session, we will start a waiting list and let you know if a space becomes available.

To make sure everyone has a great time during the sessions we would like to share the follwing guidelines:

1. Be on time
2. Listen to other people when they are talking
3. Be kind (no swearing or mean comments)
4. Have fun!

We really look forward to meeting you all and having some fun, if you feel shy about coming along let us know and we’ll do everything we can to make you feel comfortable.

Stay safe and well

Penny, Krista, Ellie, Gemma, Karen and Emma
