After 12 years in secondary education which included positions as Head of Music and Head of Creative Arts, I went on to obtain a First Class Degree in Addictions Counselling at the University of Bath and worked as Addictions Counsellor for Action on Addiction and Providence Projects in Bournemouth. I became Co-ordinator of the Amy Winehouse Foundation Resilience Programme, training volunteers to deliver workshops and presentations to over 25,000 young people and am on the Board of Trustees for Downton 4 Family. I’ve always been passionate about empowering others and challenging stigma, delivering a speech to HRH The Duchess of Cambridge in 2015 and discussing the impact of alcoholism in a Channel 5 documentary in 2019. I’m looking forward to managing and developing Carer Support Dorset and am excited for the future of carers across the county. I have three gorgeous sons and love music, theatre and travel, with a soft spot for Italy and David Bowie.
